Merge, Multiply, Explode

Big Boom operates on a vertical stacking mechanic where matching number tiles merge when positioned directly above each other. Each successful merge doubles the tile value and clears board space. The game board consists of four columns with tiles displaying values starting from 2 and exponentially increasing through 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256 and beyond.

The core challenge emerges from the dynamic board state: after every player move, a new row of random-value tiles spawns at the top and pushes existing tiles downward. This creates constant pressure to identify merge opportunities quickly. Tiles feature distinct color coding per value tier with additional visual markers including star icons, cloud symbols, lightning bolts, and diamonds that indicate special multiplier states.

The progression system tracks three simultaneous metrics: level completion based on merger count targets displayed as ratios like 39 out of 40, cumulative score aggregating points from all completed levels, and coin currency earned through achieving mergers and triggering multiplier bonuses up to x100. The DMO value system ranging from 40 to 50 creates strategic depth through power-up bubble mechanics that accelerate scoring potential.
